For Bon Iver, A Blog Post

It feels that whenever I do an artist spotlight, it’s acoustic guitar-driven music. Once again, I will give you quiet acoustic falsetto-driven folk.

Bon Iver is Justin Vernes, hailing from Northwestern, WI. After the break up of his band, Justin moved to Northwestern and lived in solitude for 3 months writing For Emma, Forever Ago. With comparisons to folk all-star, Iron & Wine, Bon Iver differentiates himself with his high falsetto. The album sounds exactly how a wooded area in Wisconsin would be. It’s seclusion with yourself and peace with mother nature. Does anybody want to watch the Discovery Channel with me?

You can also check out Bon Iver live when he strolls into St. Louis. He will be performing at The Billiken Club with Collection of Colonies of Bees on April 8th. Doors at 8pm, all ages, open to the public and amazingly FREE! I predict big things for this guy and this is a show you won’t want to miss.
